Husband & wife team Alasdair Clifford & Victoria Collins took over the reins of The Barrington Boar in June 2018 & have created a restaurant & pub that is both casual & contemporary. The kitchen is run by Alasdair who grew up locally & has over ten years experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants including Chez Bruce & The Glasshouse.
The Barrington Boar features in the 2024 Top 50 Gastropubs (#35), the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2023, The Good Food Guide, Harden’s Guide & Trencherman’s Guide.
The restaurant menu focuses on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients from the farmers, foragers, brewers & cheesemongers living within a few miles of Barrington. The pub is also fully stocked with South West produce with a selection of local ales, ciders & craft beers on tap, local gins & English sparkling wines.
Four elegant bed & breakfast rooms are located in a converted skittle alley overlooking the garden. In keeping with the ethos of the restaurant, breakfast is bursting with local produce whilst the en-suite rooms are stocked with items from local independent producers.
